Participants will explore how formative and summative performance assessments play a role in our students’ proficiency pathway. They will leave with examples and tools to re-design, adapt or create engaging and well-designed assessments for their students.

Participants will explore effective strategies for differentiation and progression using the world language standards to help students level up. Participants will leave with clear, ready to implement strategies they can use the next day to support learners across all proficiency levels.

Participants will explore the SC World Language Standards and use them as the primary tool to plan effective lessons and tasks that will support learners in their pathway to proficiency. Participants will leave with a series of hands-on activities to engage students in the classroom.

Participants will explore the integration of language and content through co-planning and structural practices. By the end of this session, participants will leave with key instructional strategies for biliteracy development in a Dual Language Immersion classroom.

Participants will examine how students acquire a second language and use research-based insights to revisit and redesign their own classroom activities for greater student engagement and proficiency.

Participants will revisit and calibrate their own Integrated Performance Assessments (IPAs) to better align with best practices while strengthening student engagement and proficiency.
