Pupil Accounting (SASI)

The primary purpose of the Pupil Accounting System is to classify each pupil in the South Carolina public school system into one of the pupil classifications described in the Education Finance Act (EFA). Membership and attendance is collected at the 45th and 135th days of school. Districts receive EFA funding based on the Average Daily Membership (ADM) of the district.

Student Accountability (SASI)

The primary purpose of the Student Accountability System is to obtain a cumulative head count of eligible students served in Early Childhood programs, Gifted and Talented programs, and Advanced Placement programs. Data is collected on the 45th and 135th days of school.

This report includes actual revenues and pupils for FY 2018-19, FY 2019-20, FY 2020-21, and projections for FY 2021-2022 and FY 2022-2023. Projections for FY 2021-22 and FY 2022-23 are estimates based upon recent and historical trends in local, state, and federal funding and are subject to revision. These figures include revisions made since the adoption of the Appropriation Act. Please note that pupil estimates are based on 135-day enrollment figures for K5-12 and do not include 4 year olds.
