Public School Facilities Reports

The Public School Facilities Assistance Act of 1996, Section 59-144-130 states that every three years by December first beginning with the year 1998, the State Board of Education shall report to the General Assembly the projected five-year school facilities requirements reported by the school districts, the needs identified since the last report, and those previously identified needs addressed since the last report. In addition, the 2016 Appropriations Act calls for a comprehensive report on the appropriations and provision of services that are provided in the current year’s fiscal year budget for the Abbeville equity districts.

Online Testing Technology Readiness Analysis Reports

The purpose of the Online Testing Technology Readiness Analysis reports is to provide an evaluation of the ability to participate public school districts to conduct district-wide online testing for their students in grades 3-8 starting in the spring of 2017. The results of these individual district technology analysis include a benchmark for the district and their schools in several key areas and an overall technology readiness score.

South Carolina Department of Education School District Efficiency Review by Alvarez & Marsal

These reviews contain observations and recommendations completed in conjunction with the School Efficiency Review conducted for the South Carolina Department of Education and pursuant to the FY2016-17 General Appropriations Act.

2017 SC School District Efficiency Reviews

A&M conducted School Efficiency Reviews of 79 of the 82 school districts in the State across two phases, each of which approximated nine weeks. Phase 1 included 32 districts (all Plaintiff districts) and Phase 2 included 47 districts. Three districts did not participate due to previously completed efficiency reports: Clarendon 1 (Plaintiff), Lexington 4 (Plaintiff) and Dorchester Two.
