South Carolina Students Outperform Nation on SAT and Advanced Placement Examinations

The College Board released national and South Carolina specific results for their SAT and Advanced Placement assessments. South Carolina students scored fifteen points above the national average on the SAT exam and exceeded the nation on eight out of the top ten tested subjects of Advanced Placement exams.

The public is invited to review textbooks and instructional materials that have been proposed for use in South Carolina’s public schools. The materials will be on display from October 23 through November 23.

South Carolina High School Class of 2018 ACT Performance Slips in ACT Report

The ACT® has released assessment data for 2018 South Carolina high school graduates who took the ACT test. Following the national trend, South Carolina graduates' average composite score slipped from 18.7 in 2017 to 18.3 in 2018.
