2019 College- and Career-Ready Standards for Social Studies

The 2019 South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Standards for Social Studies grades 4-12 were approved by the State Board of Education on January 8, 2019, while grades K-3 were approved on May 14, 2019.

Founding Principles Act

S.C. Code Ann. § 59- 29-155 requires instruction on certain founding principles of the United States into required studies of the United States Constitution.

James B. Edwards Civics Education Initiative
