MTSS Reporting

Act 213 requires all districts and charter schools to conduct universal screening and report the results to the SC Department of Education. The SCDE collects this required data in two ways:

  1. The Universal Screening field in PowerSchool
  2. An end-of-year survey gathering district-level data

MTSS Reminders

  • MTSS data will still be due at the end of the school year; despite the new field validation in PowerSchool, the SCDE will still only collect this information at the end of the school year.
  • All districts and charter schools are required to screen all kindergarten and first grade students three times a year for potential reading difficulties.
