K-12 Computer Science

Computer Science skills are essential in today’s society.  Computer Science can be defined as “The study of computer and algorithmic processes, including their principles, their hardware and software designs, their applications, and their impact on society.

The development of these skills in grades K-12 is a critical component for preparing our students for entry into the workforce or to peruse higher education coursework.

Computer science is more than coding. Computer Science is a tool for learning and expression in a variety of disciplines and interests.  Computer science is the driving force of innovation in every field and is the backbone to many of our world’s toughest challenges.
