Description
The purpose of the SCDE Perkins V Reserve subgrant is to build upon the South Carolina State Plan for Career Technical Education (CTE) to strengthen and align programs and partnerships as outlined under the Perkins V legislation. Funds will be used
to address regional or statewide workforce development needs in high-skill, high-wage, or in-demand occupations in critical or emerging industries. The top industries in South Carolina for current focus are:
- Health Care/Health Sciences
- Business and Information Technology
- Manufacturing
- Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics
- Construction
- Hospitality & Tourism
- Agriculture.

Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants for a Perkins V Reserve subgrant are current Perkins V subgrantees (i.e., LEAs and IHEs that currently offer Perkins-approved CTE programs). See the Request for Proposals (RFP) for a list of eligible applicants.

$1,224,000
Funding Detail
Approximately 16 subgrants of no more than $75,000 each.
