2018–19 Gifted and Talented Graduate Course Program

Description

The purpose of the Gifted and Talented (GT) Graduate Course Program is to provide teacher endorsement activities (graduate courses) for teachers assigned to teach gifted and talented students. Funding will be provided for tuition-free graduate courses for teachers who are pursuing either endorsement or certification in GT education.

Eligible Applicants

Public or private South Carolina institutions of higher education that currently offer or plan to offer introductory graduate courses in GT education.

Total Funding Available

$200,000

Funding Detail

Approximately 18 GT graduate courses will be funded under this program. The average award made in the previous funding year was $12,000.

Project Term

September 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019
