Professional Review Committee (PRC)

Authorized by the State Board of Education (SBE), the Professional Review Committee (PRC) is responsible for reviewing providers and programs and recommending policies regarding educator preparation. All new and continuing educator preparation programs that lead to certification are reviewed by the PRC. This committee also reviews national accreditation decisions and serves as the accreditation council for private institutions that elect to meet national provider standards through a state review process. The PRC renders recommendations for SBE approval on educator preparation matters, as appropriate.
