Data Dictionaries
Data Dictionaries currently used by the Office of Research and Data Analysis (ORDA) related to student information systems, interoperability standards, and longitudinal data storage.
A Data Dictionary is a list of names, definitions, and properties for data objects in a database, information system, or research project. It explains the meanings and goals of data items in the context of a project, as well as interpretation, accepted meanings, and representation. A Data Dictionary also contains information about data pieces in the form of metadata. A Data Dictionary's metadata may help define the scope and properties of data items, as well as the rules that govern their use and use.

SCDE Course Code Database
-
The SCDE Course Code Database now lives within SC-Satchel, the SCDE’s new platform for course standards and codes. Like the prior spreadsheet version, it lists the SCDE’s active courses, codes, and identifiers such as grade span, academic weighting, units, subject-matter graduation credit, college and career readiness, credit types, course descriptions, and more.
Use the Request for Addition Form to request codes for dual enrollment courses. Questions about the SCDE Course Code Database, SC-Satchel, or the Request for Addition Form may be directed to Nicole Ivery at nivery@ed.sc.gov and 803-734-6268.
